Yusuf serves as the Senior Associate Director, Public Affairs at the END Fund. In this role, he works alongside the communications team to highlight the END Funds work as part of the movement to end NTDs.
Prior to joining the END Fund, Yusuf worked on economic development and humanitarian aid projects with a range of organizations including USAID, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, and most recently with the Secretariat of the Syria Recovery Trust Fund (SRTF) in Amman, Jordan. In the capacity of a Reporting Specialist with the SRTF, Yusuf served as a liaison between the 14 member donor governments, the secretariat, and implementing entities in Syria. He managed all digital communication platforms, drafted quarterly reports and press releases, and led a training on visual documentation through photography for partners on the ground in Syria. Throughout his career, he has enjoyed the opportunity to work across diverse sectors including food, agriculture, health, and education. Prior to the SRTF, Yusuf worked as a Program consultant for the United Nation’s Food and Agriculture Organization — where he worked with an agronomist to develop a series of training videos on ways to cultivate and manage crops in resource deprived camp environments for people internally displaced in Syria.
Yusuf holds a BA in Communication and International Relations from Denison University. In his spare time, he enjoys film and digital photography, finding new vegan recipes, and battling the Arabic language.
