William Thini Magachi

Director of Technology & Data

William joins as Director, Technology and Data at The End Fund leading the Technology from a Strategy perspective while ensuring compliance with Cybersecurity and Data Protection Privacy within the organization on a normal day in operations.

Prior to joining END Fund William worked as Technology and Projects Director with a variety of organizations ranging from Non-Profit Sector, Financial and Commercial organizations. He was responsible for providing roadmap to several organizations looking to develop Technology roadmap and automations. During his Tenure at UjuziTech, he helped organizations increase their utilization of new technologies ranging from systems architectures, applications development, integrations, cloud migrations, cybersecurity and Data Privacy Protection.

Its while working with the non-profit sector that William came across the impact technology can create within the non-profit sector from a processes optimizations to enhancing various stakeholders relationships ranging from donors to grantees and took it upon himself to be leader in driving these relationships within the sector and create a lasting impact.

William studied computer science at Moi University and various certifications from Microsoft and Project Management Institute.

Outside of work, William enjoys spending time with his family as well as the occasional round of golf, hiking, and traveling. He also loves interacting with new cultures and foods.

With a robust background in technology and project management, William has excelled in enhancing operational efficiencies and spearheading transformative business strategies.

During his career, William led pivotal projects in the non-profit sector, including the implementation of a Management Information System that significantly reduced costs through strategic vendor management and effective contract negotiations. He also directed the integration of an ERP system, creating a unified data platform that streamlined organizational operations.

William’s strategic initiatives were instrumental in increasing organizational efficiency and improving stakeholder engagement. His expertise in developing technology roadmaps for automated systems greatly enhanced financial and procurement operations, aligning them with broader organizational goals.

Now serving as the Director of Technology and Data at The End Fund, William’s visionary approach and technical acumen continue to drive projects to completion on time and within budget. His leadership fosters a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, making a significant impact in the technology sector.
