Robyn Calder Harawi is President of The ELMA Philanthropies Services (U.S.) Inc., the services arm of The ELMA Group of Foundations. ELMA invests in: healthcare, education, early childhood development, and poverty alleviation in Africa; humanitarian relief for communities across the world; healthcare and climate resilience in the Caribbean; and youth development through music in the United States.
Robyn is on the board of The ELMA South Africa Foundation, which invests in organizations protecting the constitutional rights of people in South Africa. She is also a founding board member of the newly established ELMA Masana wa Afrika, a South Africa based foundation supporting community-based organizations that serve families and children across Africa.
Robyn is a member of the Royal Bank of Canada Philanthropy Advisory Council, Last Mile Health’s Advisory Council, and the board of The END Fund, which focuses on ending neglected tropical diseases.
Robyn has an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, a MSc in Political Sociology from the London School of Economics, and a BA in Development Studies from UC Berkeley.
She lives in NYC with her husband and their two daughters.
