Liat Rennert

Liat is an international humanitarian aid worker with a master’s degree in Public Health specializing in Emergency and Disaster Management from Tel Aviv University. She also holds a BA in Sociology and Anthropology from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Liat has been working in the development and humanitarian aid field for over a decade, with multiple organizations. She lived in Ethiopia for 3 years, where she was country director for NALA, working on NTD elimination through school and community-based interventions, WASH support, and providing capacity building and technical assistance to the Ethiopian Federal Ministry of Health. She led the development of policy documents, the most prominent one being a national guideline for multisectoral coordination for NTD control and elimination. In the past 2 years, Liat served as the NALA Humanitarian program manager, leading the organization’s response to one of the most severe humanitarian crises globally, in Tigray region in northern Ethiopia. She is deeply committed to dedicating her personal and professional life to global development and humanitarian aid.

Liat recently relocated to New York, a lifelong dream of hers, with her husband and is enjoying everything the city has to offer.
