Diana serves as the Associate Director, Public Affairs, supporting the Senior Director, Public Affairs in advocacy, domestic resource mobilization, country (s) ownership, stakeholder engagement, and partnership development in Kenya and other priority countries across Africa.
Diana began her career in Kenyan media as a multimedia journalist, focusing on telling the stories of the most vulnerable members of society, with a particular focus on women, children, and girls. She is a four-time national and international award-winning journalist.
Prior to joining the END Fund, Diana worked as the Communications and Development Manager at Kakenya’s Dream, where she managed the organization’s internal and external communications, maintained and strengthened partnerships with current and prospect funders, managed stakeholder engagement, and mobilized resources in Kenya. She previously worked for the Guardian Global Media Campaign to End FGM, which transitioned to Global Media Campaign, as a media liaison officer and the Nation Media Group (QTV) as a producer/reporter.
Diana is a 2016 Guardian News and Media fellow, an SDG fellow at UNLEASH and UNLEASH+ , having participated as a talent in the Education and Zero Hunger themes respectively.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in mass media and communication from Mount Kenya University, a diploma in public relations from St. Paul’s University and a Certificate in film and video programs production from Kenya Institute of Mass Communication. Diana spends her free time mentoring youth, swimming, and experimenting with new recipes.
