Share Your Voice as We Give Thanks

Nov 26, 2015

On this day of thanks in the US, I count you and our caring community amongst what I am most grateful for this year. Together, our collective generosity has ensured that through the END Fund’s investments to date, over 77 million of the world’s poorest and most vulnerable people received the treatment they need to live more prosperous lives free of NTDs.

None of this work is possible without the committed partners on the front lines and the generosity of visionaries like you, who have been a critical part of the equation helping to ensure that we can reach those most in need.

As we give thanks and share stories around our respective tables with family and friends, we invite you to listen and share five personal stories from around the world. From a mother in Burundi who is thankful for deworming programs for her children to the Minister of Health in South Kivu, DRC who recognizes the importance of treatment. Listen and be inspired by the compelling stories of Alicé, Mocé, Dr. Mwanza, Dr. Irenee, and Nieba.

And go one step further.

View, share, like, retweet, and comment between now and Giving Tuesday (December 1) and your feedback — along with others — will direct the END Fund’s next investment. Through the wisdom of our community we will make sure your collective voice is heard and has impact in the lives of those living at risk for these diseases of poverty and neglect.

During this time of reflection, we want to acknowledge our community for your continued support, wisdom, and encouragement. Thank you to all of you for being on this journey with us to see a world free of NTDs.

Ellen Agler in Idwji, DRC

* The story that speaks to you and garners the most “votes” including likes, shares, comments, retweets, favorites, and views of each video across Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube through 12pm EST on December 1, 2015, will be eligible to have an investment directed by the END Fund. The END Fund reserves the right to cap the investment amount to not exceed one million dollars and determine the parameters of the investment. Results will be shared after compilation.
